My name is Kim and I am a farmgirl at heart. I grew up in a very small town, but due to county lines attended school in a suburb close by (very different culture). I am a 38 year old wife and mom to one super sweet son Ethan. I live in a house of "guys" so I am excited to be a part of the sisterhood. :)

I love to cook, sew, quilt, knit, crochet (only when my arm is twisted), embroider, cross stitch...pretty much all the home arts. I do hope one day to move out of the suburbs to a small patch of land, but for now make the most of what we currently have. Glad to be here. Kim

Welcome! I live in the suburbs too, a cul de sac to be exact. I have chickens and luckily my neighbors love them and the eggs! You will enjoy it here. I also have household full of boys, even the cat, but now I'm not sure what I would do with a little girl. Just join in-everyone here is wonderful!

Elizabeth - someone recently told me I need a girl. I told them I wouldn't know what to do either :) I only have sisters and for a while we thought my parents would only have grandsons, but my younger sister has a daughter now.

Howdy, Kim

I have just been chatting since June 6 and love it here. It helps to keep me motivated and keeps my farm dream alive. I have two kids, 20yr old son, 18yr old daughter. I work part time and pretend i live on a farm- or at the beach- the other time!

Born in the wrong era...

Welcome Kim! Your comment about crocheting made me laugh! I am not a knitter (can't figure it out) or cross-stitcher. But I love to crochet! The sisterhood is wonderful, you'll love it :)

Lol! Glad I gave someone a laugh :-) of course seeing my crochet would really be funny. I found the bottom of a crocheted baby Mary Jane style shoe I started on 2006 in my craft stuff the other day. I think I will undo it tomorrow, wind the yarn back up and stop feeling guilty for not finishing it :-)
