Okay ladies to go along with the 4th of July Swap I am hosting I have decided to do a 4th of July Give Away on my blog.
All you need to do is follow by blog, post and tell us what you and your family do to celebrate 4th of July. That's it.
I will put everyone's name in my 4th of July hat on June 30th and draw one name for my 4th of July Give Away.
Of course as I love surprises this will be a 4th of July Surprise Give Away so you will not know what you have won until it arrives at your door-)Once it arrives you may share with everyone what your treasure is.

I also tried to post to your blog, i have posted to it before but it just keeps taking me to set up a blog account. But we get together with famly and just have a great time!

I forgot - you wanted to know what we do on the 4th! Well, BF's family has their reunion, so there are about 80-100 people together for a huge cook-out and family time during the afternoon, then we go to the local high school at night for fireworks.
I had the same problem with the blog - kept taking me to where to set up an account.

When I click on your blog address it takes me to your blog also - the problem occurs when you try to leave a comment - it takes you to where to set up a blog account and doesn't post the comment on your blog.

Hi Debbie, my comments worked once, but not another time! My family has what amounts to a yearly reunion on my husband's side. Lots of good food and fun--sometimes too close for comfort, though! But our independence is everything and that's what we keep in mind!

Okay, I do not know what is going on and I know all of you know how to post on a blog, but just to be sure.
When you go to my blog on the right side click on 4th of July give away, it will come up then post your comment. I am sure that is what all of you are doing as all of you know how to work a blog, but this is for those who may not.

I'm following you now, and have tried to leave a comment several times, so I will just tell you here what we do on the 4th.
We always cook out, then watch the neighborhood kids play with their fireworks. When its close to dark, we drive out to where the big fireworks are and set up our chairs and eat popcorn and ooh and aah with everybody else!
One year, when we were stationed at Camp Pendleton, we watched both the Oceanside city fireworks and Camp Pendleton fireworks, same program, one just a few seconds behind the other. Since we were on the beach, it was just like being in the middle of each one, almost like 3D!!!

My daughter and I always go to a parade and ice cream social and then a family cookout..Lots of fun.
I just bought a new flag last night because my other one is so faded from the sun, Natalie- my daughter is getting that on the pole to fly our colors proudly!!
