I had these in my backyard a couple years ago. I sprayed the holes (be sure to get both holes) with a wasp-killer and my dad poured gasoline down the holes. They apparently didn't survive over the winter. They are tough to kill--their nests have multiple entrances so be sure to get all of them. Good luck. Cindy
