Now, we don't raise hogs...anymore ! here around the Hog Capital, but we do come from a jack-of-all-trades and a master of.....well, let's just say we like to know we CAN do a lot of things, just in case we ever need to ! Trying to learn to work our bit of land to help it work for us. Love to cook, sew, crochet, clean the horse stall, milk the goats, garden, mow the grass, card wool/dye it, clean the horse stall (did I mention that already?)~just something about the smell of horse, leather and hay that makes my arthritis rest for a while... then, to snuggle up to a goat on a below zero morning as you milk, Christian radio in the backgorund with the wind whistling to the tune !
And being able to live in a way Gramma had to everyday is exciting! Equally exciting is being able to step out of that world any time we choose ! ! ! SOOOOO looking forward to gleaning and learning on here ! We trekked from Ohio and are growing in Illinois, still have to call Ohio 'back home' .

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Welcome Virginia! My late grandfather was a hog farmer. I have fond memories of Grandpa's hogs, especially the piglets. I was always amazed how heavy those little ones were. Years after my grandfather died the Polish community in Chicago were still calling to order their Easter hams from him.

I think you will love it here. Have fun exploring all the topics. You'll find plenty to learn, laugh at and share!

Hey y'all from Georgia/Ohio. We too still call Ohio home, even though we have lived here in Ga 28 years. We still have family and friends in Ohio. Go to Debra e to read about me. Have a large weekend and welcome to the farm.
