I got a little excited at the U pick strawberries farm and my DH and I picked 24 quarts. My five kids have been eating them as they wish and I have made two batches of strawberry jam and am still overflowing with strawberries (16 quarts left). I don't want to make anymore jam because I will have blueberries, raspberries, peaches, blackberries, grapes and apples that grow on my own property to preserve and I usually make at least a batch or two of jelly or jam of each of those flavors.
I need your favorite recipes or ideas!

Dawn, we raise strawberries and after 3 runs of jam, strawberry shortcake out our ears, yogurt parfaits and strawberry crepes, I halve the berries, put them on cookie sheets and stick them in the freezer to flash freeze. When frozen, I take them off of the cookie sheets and put them into ziploc bags. I do it this way to keep them from clumping together and so that I can actually measure out berries. Then, I use these for smoothies, strawberry ice cream and with homemade yogurt and granola as parfaits. They are also great in muffins for strawberry muffins. We also dehydrate some to keep on hand for scones. Sounds like you hit a gold mine!! :-)
