Hi girls -

SO many of us have been dying for a little spring, so I thought I'd share some pictures of the beautiful flowers displayed at the Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh on Easter. While there, I just kept thinking of all of you, and how much you'd enjoy the profusion of color! So, here's a little spring bouquet of fresh air and sunshine from my heart to yours!

Enjoy!

What a great way to spend your Easter... looking at all of these beautiful flowers!
Thanks for sharing Nini, and for thinking of us!
It won't be too much longer for me to see some color outside!

Oh my goodness, thank you so very much for sharing. Living at 9000 feet I have yet to see such beautiful colors and any sign of spring. Oh what I have to look forward to in a couple of months. The flowers are fabulous and it sounded like you had a beautiful Easter with your family.
Farm girls are awesome thinking of one another while with there families.

Debbie

That's so true, Debbie, because we farmgirls ARE family! ;)

'Glad you all enjoy the pics - that's what I was hoping! It was a last minute decision to head out there before Easter dinner. We were SO glad we did. My parents thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and it was just such a nice, relaxing stroll through all the gardens and displays. Being close to nature makes me feel so much closer to God, you know?

I love the way each flower kind of had a "face" and "personality" of its own - those orchids, especially! They look like little fairies or bees with bright, beautiful wings smiling right back at you!

The colors, the fragrances, the soothing sounds of nature - magnificent! The beauty of each flower truly is its gentle song of praise!

Have a beautiful day, girls!

Hugs -

Nini

Thanks Nini!!!
Debbie lives at 9000 ft. in Colorado (on the other side of "my" Colorado Rocky Mountains.
But, even thought I live at a lower elevation . . 7000 ft. in SW Colorado we are, too, also waiting for some wonderful spring color.
Fruit trees are in blossom . . . but I fear they will get frozen. It's cold and windy today and a freeze warning for tonight . . :(
THANKS again!
CJ

Those photos are stunning!!! I am so missing the vibrant colors of Spring. As another Colorado farmgirl...I am still dealing with cold temps and the varying shades of brown on the 5 acres of land we have. My trees do not have any leaves yet either....but good things come to those who wait...right? Someone, if not me, is going to have a beautiful piece of property here soon. Thanks for sharing Nini....a very special Spring gift for us:) Erica

What beautiful pictures Nini!
The bleeding hearts hold a special place in my heart. They remind me of a plant I bought my grandparents when I was about 10 years old...well 35 years later I still have a piece of it.
Thank you for sharing!
