Deborah, I hope you get dry enough to plant too. Sometimes it just doesn't work out the way we want. Then we have to wait. And wait. But then the sun comes out and there we go! It will happen. Be ready!

Deborah, is it any dryer there yet? We have not had rain since last Wed. We are in for more storms this week again. I have been trying the no til method. Maybe you could do that too. You don't have to wait til the garden is dried out. Just layer cardboard and newspapers and mulch. I am starting this. I have a row so far. Lots of work.

Well We got plowed yesterday. Got the rows done and black fabric down with the soaker hoses today. Now the rain is coming. Hope we dont have it bad so I can get out there tomorrow and put the plants in. If not I will have to wait until Monday. I am off until next Wednesday. I am hve been sick for about 10 days and went to the emergency room yesterday. I was having a hard time breathing. Got some good drugs but still coughing. My DH helped with most of the stuff we got done today. And I was suppose to start to plant my plants when I reasted some...but the rain got here before I got to do it..oh well...that is God telling me to rest and not to do to much...

Man. Last year I couldn't get out into the garden (Pregnancy + humidity do NOT go together) and this past month (April) was the wettest april since 1892! I had a few things planted but I'm sure they've all washed away. :(

Yes, Deborah, that is God telling you to take it easy. Just do a little at a time and it will get done. We have all summer. I still have lots of room to plant and it will get done. I have been working a little at a time too. And it's coming together. I am way late on so much but it will get done. So take it easy and go slowly til you are feeling better. Enjoy yourself and maybe let someone else do most of it.

Kris, Always the voice of wisdom. Yes my DH did most of the work yesterday. We will see how it goes the rest of the week. Megan I dont think I would have done anything when I was pregnant and the humidity will always get to ya. I am sure I will be taking it easy these next few days.

Our garden isn't so much wet, it just gets too cold still. Everyone around here (Kenosha, WI) tells us we can't transplant outside until the 1st week of June. I had to replant my tomatoe seeds because the first batch molded (we rent an old house with a basement mold problem that no one will listen to us about, and I think the spores spread to the first floor, my bread lasts about 3 days here) and died. I'm hoping that this batch will last until it's time to go outside. Last year the peppers, brussels sprouts, broccoli, etc never went anywhere because it was winter before they had a chance to grow! LOL.

We made it to the Farmer's Market and Madison today and I stocked up on a bunch of herb plants to put in the garden, when it finally warms up. We had 80 degrees a few days ago and now high in the low 50s and lows in the upper 30s. My poor plants will never get in the ground! it was damp, a little misty/drizzly today and my DH is still out mowing lawn.

Well finally I got the garden done with ALOT of help from my DH. Well almost done. I have to put in the bush beans. But it is about 60 today and I am not sure if I should put the seeds in yet. I had them ready the other day but I lost the seeds somewhere near the garden area. So I guess I will have more beans than I thought. It looks pretty good. I will have to get my DH to take a pic and put it on here so everyone can see.
