Holy moly! On April 20th we had our THREE THOUSANDTH member sign up for the Farmgirl Sisterhood. To give some perspective on how quickly the Sisterhood is growing one of the very first members that I signed up was #440 in January of 2009. In that time I have added over 2500 new members to the roster. I am always pleased when a Sister calls up here at the farm and I get to assist them with this, that or the other thing. Helping out my Sisters is what adds purpose to my stride. I hope that ya'll view me as a bro or sorts. :)

Congratulations to Sunny for correctly guessing the date of #3000 as well as congratulations to Sharon for picking that momentous day to take a leap and join up with us becoming Farmgirl Sister #3000.

It's no wonder this site is so popular - fab people, fab concept and fab originator of it all. Who could ask for anything more? Congrats and many thanks for all the joy my short time on here has given me!

Nice little cash flow for MJF!!! 3,000 times 20.00, great going!

I want to renew soon. I have been really watching my pennies since November (worries about hubby's job), but I am ready to renew!!! Will do that tomorrow!

Amazing growth! But not surprising considering how wonderful the concept is and how absolutely fabulous all these women are. Add to that the wonderful staff at MJF. (This means you Brian. You are the only contact I have had so far!) Then consider the founder. What more could you ask for? I know everyone is interested when I talk about the sisterhood out in the world.
Glad to have found you all.

Just an FYI, MJ and I have been shooting videos in which she "presents"
merit badges personally. Until we get it up and running properly here's how
it will work every week:

http://raisingjanejournal.maryjanesfarm.org/video_test.html

Let me know if the video works for you and give me some feedback.

And from what I can tell just working here (and soon to move to S.
Carolina), the cash flow the sisterhood generates through membership fees
hasn't yet caught up with the amount we've spent on the sisterhood to date.
MJ is committed to putting the revenue generated (and then some) back into
the sisterhood. It's a dream come true for her.

Kevin, I watched the video and I truly liked it. Very personable, warm and just plain inviting to watch as far as the setting goes. And to hear MJ herself say our names is just plain nifty!

Thanks Karen, we've been having a blast filming them, MJ's a natural in front of the camera. Is there anything she can't do??? ;)

Kevin, I don't care what happens to the membership dues just keep the sisterhood going! It is nice to see Mary Jane and would feel special to hear your name. I found the paper in her hands distracting but it might be something I need to get used to. Have you thought about prompt cards next to the camera? I'm not sure what MJ would do with her hands if you did that. :) Maybe you could do her voice and pictures or video of some thing else on some of it? I don't know how many awards there are each time you do this but it could get kinda long if there were more than there were this time.
Any way take what you like and leave the rest!
What you all do is so appreciated.

Thanks for the feed back Connie, much appreciated. We are trying to make sure the videos are right around ten minutes give or take a few. I'm not sure what to do about the paper though; I hesitate using cue cards though because I don't want MJ looking off camera continuously. You know, like this lady:

LOL! There is truth in that! Makes you want to look over your shoulder to see who she is looking at! Ten min is perfect just as you are doing it. Paper is not an issue for that long. I was imagining a longer clip.

Brian,

Time to bring out the ice-cream and party! YooooooHooooo!!!!
A big round of applause to you and all of the MaryJane Farm Family.
(Special Farmgirl Hugs to MaryJane.) Her gift of sharing herself with all of us who are a part of this sisterhood, really touches everyone's heart. Joining MaryJane Farms has been one of the best gifts that I have ever treated myself to. All of the sisters quickly find a way to a special place in ones heart. A place that is full of smiles, joy, and purpose as kindred spirits.

Also it is especially nice to have brothers like yourself, who look out for us sisters. I do not know what we would do without you fellows. We are so blessed.

3,000 members. What a unity of people!

God Bless each and everyone of you.
