This was published 1916 by the Home Needlework Publishing Co, Boston Mass on Centerpieces & doilies...I ordered it & bought it thinking it was for tatting but its actually for crocheting....1st pic is of the cover the other 2 are pics of some of the patterns...
for as old as it it is it is in great condition.....now the staples have come lose but no torn or damaged pages.

So as you know if you have bartered with me I like:
antique linens such as tablecloths, pillowcases, doilies, table runners, handkerchiefs, floursack materials or even old cloth feed sacks...can be stained ect but usable for my sewing.

Cotton laces in whites, naturals

since this is quite old I will insure it when shipping it to you plus its in plastic & will be put in cardboard so not to get bent or damaged.

Now to make this interesting I want to know why you would like this & I will pick from the one I think has the 'bestest' answer
also no emails on this one...I want you to answer here please...to make it fun for everyone

I would love to add this into my collection! I have been working on preserving patterns from the past and trying to make the items from the patterns as well. It is so important to preserve all of these things that we women enjoy so much. Not to mention the fact I am in love with the first design, these patterns I have never seen before!

I have lace and trims, flour sacks and more to barter with.

Look forward to reading what everyone else has to say!!

I would love to have a copy (even a Photocopy on plain white paper would suit me just fine!) Love what's shown on the front cover, in particular, the unusual pattern on the far right size of the page. Like the others who posted above, I feel it's so important for us to continue cherishing and working these vintage patterns so that we can teach this to the younger generations. If our future generations don't take the time to learn this, it will eventually be lost and how sad is that?? Thank you so much for posting it. :-)

Michele, I am just reading this now but if still possible I would love a photocopy, no need for the original as I would use it to actually make a doily or three! I have in the past crocheted a few delicate doilies but gave them all away. Stupid me didn't even get a photo of all of them. But I have been thinking lately that I wanted to make one for me, and while I have a few patterns around here, nothing has really spoken to me. But I really dig that one on the far right!

I am afraid I don't have any lace or older cotton types like you are looking for, but I could offer you any of the following: handmade soap or moisturizer, saltbar, sugar scrub, kefir grains or kombucha culture. If any of that interests you, let me know :)

Michele, I hope I am not too late to hope for this booklet. I would add it to my collection. I collect Home needlework magazines and pattern booklets from 1900 through 1955. I have quite a few complete magazines ( I can't bear to tear them apart for framed prints like some) and booklets like yours (but not a pattern book as early as yours)They are like treasures to me. I take very good care of them, and hope someday to donate them to someone else with the same love for this history of needlework and textiles. My collection is one of the very few things I will not part with when we find our retirement home. I love to look through them and dream. I have a copier, so for those who would like a copy, I would be happy to continue sending them out. I love the pattern on the far right also. It's quite different from any I've seen. I'm not sure the volume of of items you would like for barter. I have several items. Please let me adopt this booklet. I would handle it like the precious memory it is. Thank you for offering it.

Michelle, If it is not to late I would like to get a copy. It will be for my daughter who at 12 learned to crochet from my mom and has done it every since. She is now 41 and crochets almost daily. She inherited all my moms crochet stuff, and cherishes the books, and her old needles. I do not have any antique linens, but I do embrodiery pillowcases, I sell them for $20-25. I would be glad to exchange for a copy. Just let me know. Please e-mail me.
Thanks, Farmgirl #946 Linda

Michele and farm girls responding to this post, just wanted you to know I feel honored to become the caretaker of this publication! Promise I'll take good care of it for all the farm girls. Also, Michele's photo turned out so great I plan to take photos of my collection.

You are most welcome Judith...& I think the photos will be very nice of your collection....actually I have yet to learn the flash on my camera so those pics turned out more yellow than the actually booklet is...my whole house has those soft lights that turn everything yellow in all of my pics.......Once Linda sends me her address I will go get these copied for all of you I am hoping I can find another place besides our library to copy them but I live in a small town of 8ooo so I am lucky we have that...but hopefully I might find someplace where its a dime a copy instead of 25 cents per page.... everyone have a great day...Michele'
