I was wondering if there is any other mothers here doing Calvert with the ATS system, or any one in Kansas doing Homeschooling?
I'm in Colwich right outside of Wichita, and hoping to do Calvert, I was going to do k12, but my MIL is thinking about paying for Calvert (my dream Cirr, but didn't think I could afford it!).
I see Kansas has a NEW program called Maize Virtual Preparatory School, which will waive the enrollment fee for Calvert, I'm not sure how that works though with the ATS program with Calvert, and it the MVPS exactly involves.
Any one familiar with all this? Could use some help. I plan on calling on the phone soon, but my phone is dead right now! lol Waiting for it to charge, then I will be doing some calling. But, would love to hear any personal experiences.
Also do you know of any homeschooling co-ops in the Wichita area? I should of asked at my La Leche League meeting last night and wasn't even in the home schooling mind set to think about it, and last night we had a HUGE group. Grrr. Oh well, maybe next meeting we'll have another large group and some one will know something!

I used Calvert Curriculum for the 7th grade last year and LOVED IT!! If I was continuing to homeschool, I would definitely use it again. I am not in Kansas but wanted to give a thumbs up for Calvert.

Thanks Dawn, looks to me that K12 private here in Kansas for 70 dollars a year will pay for the entire calvert cirr. I think we may do it, but not sure. I want calvert either way, I'm just not sure if I want to do it the k12 route where we will be under them, for everything, meaning on their schedule and every thing, I don't know if I want that. I like calvert on it's own very much (at least what I have read). Just not sure I will like MVPS/K12.
