We are coming to visit!!
Mom (MaryJane) and I are so excited for our upcoming adventure. Bon-Ton has invited us to host an afternoon of Farmgirl fun during their customer appreciation weekend.
We’ll be at their Boston Store in Brookfield, WI at Noon on May 20, 2011.
And their Carson Pirie Scott store in Lombard, IL at Noon on May 21, 2011.
If you need a new bedset, both stores are offering a free year subscription to our magazine with a purchase of a MaryJane's Home bedset over the weekend.
And, what to do with your old bedset…
Mom and I have some ideas. We’ll be teaching a variety of uses for your well-worn bedding. · Fabric covered boxes & drawer fronts · Ottoman slip covers · House-pet Beds · Euro Pillows · Pillows made using vintage doilies and hankies
And a bit of help on what to do with the packaging the bedsets are sold in too.
Being Farmgirls, we will also have quite a few giveaways as well. We are so hoping to take this opportunity to meet some of our fellow Farmgirls and Sisters. Please holler my way with any questions or post them here. I will also keep ya’ll posted with any new news here.
MaryJane's daughter,
Meg megan@maryjanesfarm.org

Wow...so excited to have you in the Windy City! Just tickled plum pink and giddy with goosebumps to meet you each and both! I looovvve those bedding bags and have tons of uses for them. During the summer months I store my extra sweaters in them with lavender bags. The smaller ones for pillowcases and sheets sets are my personal favs, those are great for toting projects like crochet, hand sewing or punch needle in. I also store extra yarn in them because they are stackable yet flexible. I have some that just hold all of my trims and some hold my love letters. I had one at work for a while that was a little sewing/emergency everything kit but truth be told I had this tiny eletric curling iron in it that was still too hot...and you know where this story is going. Basically any time you want to take some thing and be portable these things are the best little traveling kit...think airplanes too! C'ya soon girls I can't wait!
Love will make a way out of no way. -Lynda Barry

I am close to Lombard, but that day happens to be my daughter's very first dance recital, which I wouldn't miss for the world! So sorry I can't make it!!! I would LOVE to meet another farmgirl, let alone Meg and Mary Jane!

I will be taking time from stocking, displaying, computing and all the other chores of opening a market to travel to Brookfield. Any Farmgirls want to make a day of it?

Betty Jo, I will be there and so will SimplyAnn. I am sure there will be others. It would be fun to have meet up early and have brunch or an early lunch. MaryJane and Meg will be there at Noon. Maybe we can have an early supper together with them?!

I get off work by 8am and can leave by 9am. I am about an hour north of Brookfield but know the area like the back of my hand. Grew up in the area. It also happens to be my weekend off Soooooooo if any of you Farmgirls would like to camp over Friday night I have room. We have a small cabin and plenty of room for tents and possible campers (might have to park those on the blacktop if the ground is still soggy) We could have a bonfire and what ever? There is a small chemical toilet but also the house is only 200 feet away and there is the flushing kind in side. I would love to do a lunch or brunch and/or dinner on Friday. Food yes!!! Mary Jane and Meg awesome. I can not wait.......

Betty Jo, Thanks for the invite! How many WI farmgirls are coming? I know of a few, but thought it would be fun to all wear our aprons, so we can recognize each other.

Betty Jo, I do hope we get to see your apron!
CJ, we can't wait to meet you when you and Robin visit the Bed & Breakfast this summer!
And April, yes, we'll most certainly have to coordinate, as we would love to see you all again this coming fall!
Happy Wednesday...
