Hi Farmgirls, I am busy crocheting and sewing blankets for our local animal shelter where I Volunteer at and I was wondering if any of you have some yarn laying around or fabric that you don't want or need anymore?! Please feel free to e-mail or post here if you do!

| Just a quick comment, knitted or crocheted blankets for cats or dogs can be very dangerous, they can get tangled and strangle, cut off blood flow to paws etc, chew and swallow yarn which can cause extreme internal damage, all this i was told by a women who is a retired vet, and runs a very large dog and cat rescue near where I live, cause I brought blankets for the animals this past winter, and she would not accept any that were made with yarn. |

Thank you Tina for the info! I did check with the animal shelter to see if they taked crocheted items and they do but they use most of them for baths, etc. Thanks again for pointing this out as it is good info to know. :)
