Wouldn't it be fun if we had a list of local indie book stores that we could seek out and patronize in out travels?

Let's start it here:
I just love McLean and Eakin in Petoskey, Michigan. This shop is full of book lovers who are always anxious to share their faves.
Another good store is Nicola's Books in Ann Arbor. They have a great selection of magazines and lots of interesting titles that never make it to the bestseller lists but are terrific finds.
