I've been teaching on-farm organic gardening workshops since 1995 at our farm outside of Sandpoint, Idaho. So many have asked that the session on Planning the Garden be made available earlier than I typically teach this in person, so I have developed a Planning the Garden Workshop on CD. My purpose of producing this workshop on a CD was to share information about planning the garden when you most need it and outline it in such a way that you don’t have to read an entire book to figure out what you need to do to plan for a successful gardening season.

The self-paced Planning the Garden workshop on CD provides the specific information you need to plan for the growing season to include: Seed selection, how much to grow, ordering from seed catalogs and buying seeds, how to make a garden map, companion planting, crop rotation, deciding on direct seeds vs. transplants, creating a seeding and planting calendar, succession planting and season extension techniques that applies to anywhere you would plant a vegetable garden.

Anyone can grow a vegetable garden, but to grow one extremely well, you need to plan ahead. If you think about it, most of the things that we do successfully, we take the time to plan for it. We make lists, we outline what we want to do, we figure out how much time it will take, how much it will cost, we assess the process, then we move forward to make it happen. This workshop will hopefully help you plan for a successful gardening season! For more information, please visit our website at www.greentreenaturals.com

The CD is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Mac users should be able to view the file in PDF format.

Our rural location has us utilizing slow motion dial-up, which makes some aspects of chatting a bit of a challenge. Be that as it may, I look forward to the opportunity to meet others and if possible, be of assistance for planning your garden this season.
Wishing you a bountiful harvest! ~Diane
