omg! This is the first time in five years that it bloomed..never thought it would considering I'm in the desert of arizona..these winds here are bad.. Been in house two days..agh! Braved the wind , went outside and cut a few to bring in to see and smell. Hopefully it will stop......

Oh the smell of lilacs is wonderful!! What a great welcome to Spring....you are a lucky girl!!! The winds here are pretty rough too...it actually annoys me sometimes. The trees have not started to bud here either, but the temps are warmer. Enjoy your lilacs...Hugs, Erica

Lucky You Paula!
I just love it when the Lilacs start to bloom here. Nothing like that sweet smell, and they look so purty when you cut them and bring them in the house too!

Looking out the window with my lilac still covered by a foot of snow, I can just imagine the smell that you are so lucky to have now. It's not blowing today but has been all winter. Sounds like everyone is getting wind these days.

Enjoy your lilacs.!!

The smell of lilacs is one of the top 10 things in life. Always brings me back to the house I grew up in. When the windows were open and the wind was blowing just right the smell of lilacs would fill the house, sitting on porch with a glass of iced tea. Not much better than that moment right there.

There is no set path, follow your heart stay the course.
