Does anyone remember ice milk? They used to sell it at all the grocery stores and it didn't have the extreme vanilla taste, it was just light and milky tasting? I don't think that low-fat ice cream tastes the same way.

Nope, just came in a carton like regular ice cream. Stores have stopped selling it. It was my favorite growing up. That & neopolitan.

I loved ice milk and ice milk bars. And you're right, they don't taste the same now.

My grandma bought ice milk more than ice cream....I was looking for some recently too, lower fat without quite so much processing. I liked anything cold, frozen and sweet, so it was all good!

Exactly--lower processing! It just didn't have the same oversweet taste as regular ice cream.

Ice milk was lighter than ice cream. I think it was an olden version of what is now labelled "low-fat" etc. but it had a really nice taste and was, as most things were back then, more on the natural side (if not actually good for you).
