hello everyone :) i joined here because i have a strong urge to have a hobby farm (and who knows where that will lead?!) and i love the magazine so i thought i'd enjoy chat with like-minded women. i have 7 children and i homeschool here in northeast texas. i currently have a dog, 11 chickens and 3 cats plus a garden. all in containers since i rent lol looking forward to meeting you :)
Hi Tami from Ga. (but roots from Ohio) Great to have you here. I have only been on for a week and I love to check the farmgirls connection to see who is visiting me. It sounds like you must be a busy mom. What are you growing in your garden? I do flowers, herbs and veggies. I have a dog "Buddy" and a cat May! No children. I wasn't blessed in that area. But I am a mom to alot of people and thier kids. (I know that was God's Plan) You have a good day and will connect later on. Debra e.
Hello from Tennessee Tami! I am pretty new too and have found some wonderful people and information here. You will too! Hold on to that dream because you don't know where it will lead! Emphasis on the word because. Sounds like you are living the life right where you are! But dreams are lovely and sometimes they come true! I am toying with the idea of homeschooling my granddaughter. She is just 2 1/2 but I'm trying to think ahead. Her daddy is raising her alone and doing a great job. I can't bear the thought of what she will be exposed to in public school. Much respect for what you are doing! Connie
