I never thought I'd get very attached to a cat, but I was wrong. My husband found our cat in the road this morning. I had no idea he was even getting close to the road. I wrote a blog about it if you'd like to read it (in my signature). I haven't told my youngest daughter yet, and am not looking forward to it.

I told her a few minutes ago. She is upset, naturally, but we have had so many losses here, I hope that they will soften the blow by just a bit. I think that he did go quickly.

He was a real character. We sure will miss having him around.

I'm so sorry this happened. We lost our "gardin" kitty this year. He loved to hang out in the garden and catch critters. He is missed but we know he had a good kitty life and will send us another kitty to love. They show up on a regular basis. He kept them run off when he was here so it is just a matter of time. Won't be Slidell but it will be loved!

I'm sorry to hear that. I know that Garfield had a great life here. We have decided (long before Garfield passed) that we just don't want another cat for various reasons...one being that they do eat our garden critters, lol. He will always be 'The Cat' for us. A very special guy.

So sorry for your loss, it is never easy to lose a pet.

Nope, not easy. My DH is out right now, in the misty rain, laying him to rest. :0(

I am so sorry to read of your loss - I never find it easy to loss any animal which I care for but with time the pain lessens and you can start to remember the good times with that special four legged family member. My heart is with you and your family.
