Esther gave birth around 6:00 last night to 2 beautiful, healthy doelings. :) One is black and the other is a beautiful shade of brown. Everything went so well that I am still in a state of awe! I cannot believe that she had girls too! My buck has now fathered 6 girls and 1 boy! I think he's a keeper! ;) I was there when she started contractions and helped deliver the kids into the world. After it was over I was headed to the house to change clothes ( I was covered with slim and blood) I looked up into the sky and there was the brightest, most beautiful rainbow I had ever seen over my goat shed. God is truly amazing!
I now have 8 beautiful, healthy goats!

I didn't have the heart to wake them. Daisy is the black one on the right and Blossom or Rose is on the left ( I haven't decided what name I like best yet).

nope no bottle feeding. this is the second year I have left the babies with there moms and boy, can I tell a difference! They are so much healther and bigger. I won't go back to bottle feeding.
When are you goats due?

Oh my goodness. I want you to ship that little Daisy here to Ga. She is so pretty. I have never seen a goat that color. And the ears!! Oh my, I am having goat envy and that's not a good thing. I want some ears!
Hannah, I hope you and your family are feeling better. Have you tried the elderberry syrup yet? I can honestly say it has kept me from being sick all winter. Please try it.
