These are both really nice books. I have had them for awhile and got the Amish cook out yesterday was getting very hungry looking through it. Then The pantry book had me redoing my whole area where I keep all my pantry stuff. All the time wishing I had a big pantry like we had at the farm I grew up on. Posted a picture of the books.

If I ever move again, I hope I get to have a real pantry. The pictures in this book, and remembering the pantry at home give me all kinds of good ideas.

I'm with you Nancy Jo. If I ever more again, I know I want a pantry. That is one of my fondest memeories from my childhood, our pantry in our big log house. My Grandma always kept it filled!

There is nothing more satisfying than a pantry full of beautiful home canned fruits and veggies and well organized staples. I'm a lucky farmgirl. I'm building an addition on our cabin that includes a new pantry! I hope it will be large enough to store much of my seasonal canning supplies and larger pots and such as well as food. The upright freezer will be in there too. The addition is basically a house, the cabin was less than 1000 sq ft. But the pantry and kitchen are what I can't wait to get into!
