It's so funny to look at this picture that I took only 2 weeks ago... my "little" sprouts are not so little anymore! This is a picture of my pumpkin seedlings. I have learned the hard way that in my neighborhood, pumpkin seeds cannot be started outdoors, unless of course I want to feed the local squirrels (trust me, they get fed quite a bit!). My husband and I created our own growing rack with just a shelving unit and we purchased our own lighting. We saved a pretty penny doing it this way!

Nice shot Teresa! I need to get pumpkin and gourd seeds going but first I have to figure out where I am going to plant them! So many ideas, and what seems like not enough time to bring them all to fruition! Keep the beautiful pictures coming!

I am a new gardener. We had dead yews planted all around our home that we took out. What you see here is what has been taken from a home that we being torn down last year. So I divided and replanted. I am tickled to see little patches of these all over my property that are just now sprouting up this year. Landscaping is expensive and I need to find other ways to fill in my beds...sales at tear down property's seem to be a good way. This year I will shop them with vigor and bring my own tools.
These are recycled from a tear down as well. I outlined my whole bed with red brick last year and have another project in mind to complete with the rest of the bricks I got for free.
Love will make a way out of no way. -Lynda Barry

. . .and I thought of this one. My hubby and I are vendors at our local Farmers Market, but we don't sell produce. He sells his handmade knives and woodturnings. I sell my aprons, papercraft cards and journals and a bit of jewelry. This is a pic of me with a dear friend and one of my regular apron customers, wearing a new one she just purchased from me. You can see a bit of our display behind us . . this was taken at Farmers Market in front of our booth. CJ ..from the barefoot farmgirl in SW Colorado...sister chick #665

Love all the photos! I am so glad that MJF made it easier to share photos on here. Little glimpses into my sister's lives. Here are last years heirloom tomatoes growing up their strings. This is a photo of the hops I grow for DH's beer making. They took over the back of the house! Here is one of three rainbarrels we use to water. I sometimes have to drain them because we have gotten so much rain the last couple of years. This is my cute little compost pile. It's been going for a couple of years now and is full of black gold.
Here are my tomatoes that I grow in bushel baskets! I meant to post the picture of my potatoes, but they are in back of the bush tomatoes in this picture.

Great photos posted here. Enjoyable to relax and take in before I go help set up an Easter Egg Hunt outreach for a 175 unit apartment complex with my home group from church - as yet MORE snow is falling from the sky! In all things give thanks :)!

I love looking at everyone's photos. Not only do I feel like I'm right there in the picture, but it also gives me a better understanding of who we all are... Kristina, I agree with you about a book with farmgirl photographs.. I'd buy one

I don't see mountains, or fields of wheat.. I live on an island and we have spectacular views of sunrises here!

I agree that these photos just help us know each other better . . . thanks Carrie for the opportunity.
Those mountains are "MY MOUNTAINS" . . . and they are close with ALL kinds of hiking, camping, fishing, backpacking, cross-country skiing and some "14ers" (the ones that are over 14,000 feet in elevation). It takes "lungs and legs" to hike 'em!
Thanks for sharing all the photos, girls! CJ

WOW! I'm so glad I stopped in today. Breathtaking. Thank you all for sharing. I think it's time to dig through my photo folders and dust off the camera. You've inspired me.
