OMG!! One of my moms had 4 babies yesterday....3 girls, 1 boy. After 2 came out, I thought to myself "she sure still looks fat". #3 started coming and I was excited. A few minutes later #4 arrived. I've never had a mom have 4.

Here's a pic

Wow Catherine! Good for her. And they are all stading and look really good. What breed is she? She kind of looks Sanaan or Boar. She looks a little stunned like she can't believe all these little ones herself. But she looks like a good mother. Congratulations! I almost thought that was one of her teats but it's just cute long ear. So cute!

Actually, those are her teats....they're huge!

She's a Kiko breed. It's a meat breed from New Zealand. She was bred to a Boer buck. The babies have an official breed name of "Boki" It's supposed to be the new and upcoming meat breed combination. This is my second year breeding them and I'm very satisfied with the outcome.
The goat in the background is her son (wethered) from last year. She was pushing him away. He felt so "unloved". The new babies will get all the attention now!!

Oh my gosh! That's the cutest thing I've ever seen! Look at the gusto those four little ones are eating with!
How amazing--four. So happy they're all healthy, mom included!

We once had quads from a Saanan doe and Alpine buck. ALL 4 were bucks!! And all 4 were white, like mom. We bottle raised them because we needed the milk and they made great wethers for the freezer. Have fun with them, I envy you!

Hello all!
Concrats on the little goats! I am a city girl, but farm girl at heart and I love goats. I live in Chandler AZ and I think my zoning lets me have pigmies, which I would love to have some day. Anyway, congrats again!

Are you serious? She's huge! But those goats are made to handle more than 2 kids. She looks very capable. Good mamma. I had a Kiko doe before. And I had a Boer buck that I used my first year breeding does. They all had the prettiest kids that year. I might have to look for another one. And I guess they would be meatier than a dairy goat.

I'll take more pics today. They are so adorable. AND Mom is nursing them all. I can't believe it. I've tried to bottle feed the smaller ones and they just won't take it. Mom stands there and lets all of them take turns nursing.
