Treated myself to the book. Won't have time to start it until Wednesday. Can't wait!

I have all of the books, including the Union Quilter, however so far have only read the first four. Guess that I need to start reading the rest!

Well, ladies, I just finished this book. This was another great story! So, far I have read all of the Elm Creek books. I think I have learned my history better from stories like this than I ever did in school. Even if its fiction writing..I have a better understanding of the times.

I also LOVE those books..I want to recheck out the series..Such an easy read..I would like to open a Quilter's Retreat..I think it would be soo much fun..But first I need to learn to quilt..lol..I know some of the basics, just with little kids around it's kindof hard..I would eventually like to make a family quilt to speak to future generations.. |

These books are some of my favorites! I don't have The Union Quilters yet. I'm about to start The Runaway Quilt. I've already read a few that come after that one, but I had a hard time tracking it down. They really make me wish I knew how to quilt, but alas, I have no idea how to even start.

I was just posting about this book series... I love them so much! Currently on The New Year's Quilt. Judith- I completely agree with you on the history aspect of the books..just a better grasp of what really when on during those time periods. Debbie-if you ever open up your quilter's retreat..I'll be there! Lindsay-The Runaway quilt was my favorite so far. I cried. Happy Reading everyone!
