We got the most wonderful news this past weekend and I'm still jumping over the moon!! We only have one child (he's 30) who got married last Summer, and now we are going to have our first grandbaby! I feel like I've been waiting my whole life for this time to come!! Now I just need to settle myself down, and....wait. But how do you do that?!? Just had to share my happy news! Hugs, Lu

Well, that is wonderful, congrats to you and your family. I know when I told my family I was expecting 20 years ago, even though my older sister had already had two, they were so excited.

I am my Mom's favorite, I'll admit it, so my goodness were we showered with love and helping hands. My husband is a twin and his brother has never had children so we got it from both sides of the family.

I'm happy to say my Kayla Dumplin is not spoiled in the least. She is a very well balanced young woman!

Congratulations Lu!
When is the baby due? Where were you when you heard the news? Are you already planning projects? Do you live close?
Details, we'd like details!

I'll always remember I was in the cleaning product aisle at our local grocery store when our oldest daughter called my cell phone with the good news. Our first Grandbaby is due August 10th.

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Thanks everyone! My DIL's first Dr. appt is the 21st, so we'll know more then. They are thinking the baby might come around Halloween. My DIL does have RH negative blood, so I'm not sure how that will play into things. I tried to look it up on line, but came away even more confused. If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know. I want to start an embroidery quilt project ASAP. I found a cute POOH pattern with all the characters piled on top of each other asleep. Too cute! That should keep me out of trouble for a few months! Thanks again, Lu
