4/15/11- My secret compartment books are now up for sale! Now with the Nancy Drew books I've added note card sets to go with the book. Check it out on my etsy shop here:

Each book will now come with note card sets. I will have the prices for the other books Monday. Check back then.
Measures 7x 4 1/2x 1 3/4. Plenty of room for your treasures. Woollcott Reader 1935 edition.(Sold) $25.00 includes shipping for the large secret compartments. For the Nancy Drew secret drawer books it will be $20.00 for the special below.
The secret drawer books are mystery books or Reader's digest books that are medium size. Mostly vintage Nancy Drew collection. The drawer size will be 4 3/4x4x3/4" Plenty of room for hidden treasures!
The book itself is 7x5 Nancy Drew
Reader's Digest book 7 1/2x5 1/2 drawer 1 1/4" deep
2nd book 8 1/2x5 1/2 drawer 1 1/2" deep
For every farmgirl that orders this month I will send a second one free! You choose either the secret compartment or secret drawer when you place your order! Hurry!
So to recap you get two large secret compartment books for 25.00 and two secret drawer books for $20.00, includes shipping!
I'll be taking orders, please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery. This is a process that can't be rushed and takes time to cut out all that paper.lol
The next ones are a (1) royal blue cover, (1) black and (1)rust color and is just as deep as this one. They are all novels. (Sold)

Great Sharon! I'll get your order on the list. Wahoo! My DH and I are both enjoying making these together. I love it when we can work on my hobbies together. It gives us time to talk and laugh.
You should have been here last night when he got the drawer done for the first book. I said: Wow! I didn't know you could make a drawer that cute and small. We laughed until tears were rolling down our cheeks. It fits in the book perfectly too!

Maybe your child has a great book they'd like to have turned into one to keep little treasures in. Or, an old cookbook that is no longer being used but brings back good memeories.
My Mom gave me a stack of Reader's Digest books that will make great secret drawer books. The covers are an excellent quality and the size and thickness are perfect for a hidden safe place to keep things.
So, I'll be altering them and they will be available at the end of the month.
