I ordered it the other day. Maybe we could have a start date for discussion starting at the beginning of each week, starting next week.

What do you all say we start it up a week from Monday--so that would be Monday, February 21?

And should we use this thread, or should I start one that says "Radical Homemaker's Book Group"??? I am happy either way, let's hear y'all's vote.

I vote for having a thread that says Radical Homemaker's Book Group. The 21st sounds good to me.

I just checked my library account. It's still reading 21 on the waiting list. Bummer. I'll just have to wait.

Thanks Dianne - this will be perfect. I start a new job in 5 weeks so this will give me something to concentrate on instead of being stuck at my old job:)

Kelly, yep the plan is a chapter a week, starting the 21st. On the 21st I'll go start a new thread and I'll link to it from here so y'all can find it. Looking forward to it!

Oh and I suggest we include the intro/prologue bit with chapter 1 discussion because she raises some interesting questions there . . .

I got a job as a natural foods broker - I'm really excited about it. I will have a home office, then make lots of calls to organic food stores in Eastern Washington, North Idaho and Montana - I love seeing other organic food stores. It's a good step - more money, better hours, and I get paid for driving - for someone who averages 80 miles a day already that is very appealing. I had decided to look for something new when Randy went to college in September but this came up now. And I get to stay with organics - there's a reason I've been in the organic food business this long, nice I get to put it to work. Anyway, I gave 30plus days notice at my job so I have a little bit to wait.
Thanks for askin':)

Amy, WOW! That sounds perfect for you! I love my job, so when I started reading Radical Homemakers I feel very torn now about "working outside the home". Dianne
