and for a simple pot holder, it will cost the cost of fabric, and maybe about $15.00. Praying God helps me find a way to earn the $ before planting season.

Hi Kristina, here's a simple pot holder for FREE. I like using old blue jeans so I cut two 12 inch squares, next I place right side (darker side of the denim) facing table. Next I add the same size square of batting or fleece...something to give a little padding. Then I place the other square of denim right side facing me, on top. Put a size 90 needle in the sewing machine, first sew diagonal in opposite directions and then sew all along the outer edges using a zig zag stitch. There is your basic idea of making a quilt believe it or not.LOL If you want to contact me privately, I can walk you through beginning quilt making over the computer.
Warm Wishes,
Carmen

You can also use a 8 or 9 inch or even 12 inch block
and do some simple squares.
stitch together. and add batting and a back and then you could hand stitch quilting them together.
I love to hand quilt, and piece too.
Use what ever you have on like like Carmen said.
Good luck hugs sheila
