I can not get into the spokane farmer's market this year because they are completely full with an 50 extra applications to boot! I have applied for next year and we'll see what happens. However, as life would have it, a friend of mine, living on the South Hill, has asked me to set up my own little farm stand in her neighborhood for a few hours on Saturdays so that her neighbors can have a better sense of farm fresh goods! These are not women used to going to Farmer's markets and like many people have become distanced from how their food is tended and grown. How cool is this? This coming Saturday is my first day and I'll be selling fresh salad greens, herbs, potted plants and bouquets of flowers. I am over the moon and you have completely inspired me! I really don't think I would ever have stepped out this way if I hadn't found your work and the talents of all those in collaboration with you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! What a lovely gift you've been to me. Many smiles, Julia Hayes

I agree that Maryjane's Farm and everything connected with it, especially this forum has been the best thing that has happened in my life in years!!!!! I would join with Julia in saying thank you.

Julia,
Congrats!! That is absolutely wonderful. Where about in the South Hill area will you be setting up? I think that could really be great for you, as well as the people in the neighborhood! MaryJane has made such a big difference for so many of us real people.

Congratulations!!! We have our first two markets this week and may inquire about starting one right in our little village as well.
It is so awesome to be getting healthy, local food to local people.
