Hello Ladies,
I am going to finally do a project that has been on the back burner for a while. I want to make shopping bags out of dog food bags. I have MANY 50-52lbs dog food bags that I need to clean and cut to make shopping bags. But I need to know what kind of thread I need to use? I am sure I need to use a zigzag stitch but I only have regular sewing thread. So I need to go and buy whatever thread to help with the kind of fabric the dog food bags are made of so they can hold up.

Thanks
Deborah

I would probably try one with your regular thread. My problem when sewing on those type of things is usually a tension issue more than a thread issue. But if the regular thread doesn't work, a quilting thread might be heavy enough.

Do what you love, love what you do.
