We are supposed to get 3-5 inches of rain this weekend. More flooding. The ground was white with snow a couple of days ago.

The word around here is ice, ice and more ice. We had 5" of snow followed by rain that polished it into what looks like zamboni ice. It took me a half hour just to inch my way out to get my mail yesterday and there is no way I could drive out of here. It's supposed to be near 50 today with rain tonight. I hope this ice melts off fast. Even the county road which they took an ice blade to and graveled is so slick I could barely walk on it yesterday without falling. Getting down to the barn has been an adventure. This is the worst ice I have ever seen here in 30 years.

Blessings, Sheri

Geez Sheri - be careful. It has all melted where we are, good thing too because going down the driveway the other day I didn't realize I wasn't actually in control of my vehicle until I turned the wheel and made a perfect 120 degree slide - good thing nobody was there. Hope you don't get hit by flooding Angie - the creeks here are awfully high too.

Wasn't the downpour something last night? I had to sleep on the couch in the living room because the downspouts and the skylight in the bedroom were so noisy. Glad to see it has slowed down a bit this morning. Hopefully it will stay that way for awhile so I can go for a walk after lunch.

Cheers! ~ Marilyn

Woke up to a lake in the backyard. It doesn't look like it's going to ease up anytime soon.
