Okay, just need to vent. I know to expect snow living in CT, but we already have gotten the usual total snowfall for the season, and it's only January! We got a ton of snow, and now they say to expect at least another foot on Wednesday! The roads are slippery, there's ice everywhere, and parking lots have mountains of plowed snow. We had to have our driveway plowed Friday, and the poor guy got stuck! I hold my breath going down each time! Thinking it looks more like a "luge track" than a driveway, lol!

Nicole, there is no way I would attempt going down that driveway! Not even walking. I hope you are able to just stay home. Be careful though. Looks really icy. I am so afraid of falling on ice. I have a few times and it hurts bad.

I feel for you, I really do. I live just on the outside of a state park, so when they go to plow, they only ever hit the main road, and we are stuck back here in the boonies just hoping a sunspot comes through the trees and melts us out.
It's crazy that we've gotten so much snow and we are getting another wonderful dumping here tonight and all day tomorrow.
I'm not a snow fan by any stretch of the imagination, but this is just getting ridiculous! lol
Stay safe! I know what those ice patches are. I drove to church Sunday night and ended up fishtailing for the drifts on my way up. Scary business this snow can be!
hugs

We've only got about 4" locally for this Midwestern storm, but I sure do feel for you folks out East! I think this front and that nasty thing moving up the seaboard are going to combine nastily! Be careful, y'all...

School here is closed all week. And then next Mon-Wed. there are chances for more snow. So school will probably not start back up til the end of next week if even then. It's like Christmad vacation all over again. Yippee! I know my grands are fine with this. I have 2 that live on Lookout Mt. There's no way they are coming down any time soon.

Marcia, I hope y'all have a great time sledding.

Here in the Inland North West(East WA & N. ID.) Come on over if you want some more snow! lol!
My poor hubby was up at 4;30 to get the tractor out to plow our 200ft driveway, as well as one of our elderly neighbors.... and then about 1/2 an hour ago our other neighbor re-plowed our & the elderly neighbors driveway again...
But we are suppose to get hammered tonite w/more snow....

Now we are really, truly snowed in. Our snowplow guy that was here last time now says he won't do it, too much, too heavy. We got 27 inches (on top of what was there before)! We had another guy who was coming, and he is afraid to try. We have been trying to do it by hand, but it is a killer!!! I feel I went to bed last night in CT and woke up at the North Pole!!!! School is closed today and tomorrow so far....

Ugh. My muscles are hurting! Still can't get out of the driveway, but couldn't do anymore shoveling. Four snowplows refused to try to plow us, and the one poor soul who did got stuck. So we have been shoveling and shoveling. Five scoops before you even reach blacktop. I am dreaming of Spring, for, sure...at least it's good for knitting.
