It's official! My DH just payed for 2 nights at MJF B & B for my 50th birthday. I will be staying there on July 8th and 9th! I will be joining the fun on the road somewhere along the way. "Good Cowgirls go to Heaven, Bad Cowgirls go Everywhere"!

Hello All,
Graycat here and soooo happy to have signed up to meet the Women of the Wild West in Butte, Montana. I wish I could make the entire trip, however that will be next time around! As a new farmgirl in training I am looking forward to visiting with everyone and meeting new friends. FYI - Lava Hot Springs is wonderful! I have been there twice and hope to make it a third. The whole town if full of hot springs. It is a way off the interstate, and you may think it is too far to go to camp, but once you arrive - it will all be worth it. The road continues past Lava Hot Springs and on to the Tetons. I went swimming at the city pool, at the east edge of town. It has 5 hot pools with each getting hotter as you travel west. The water is filtered thru the bottom covered pea gravel. OOOOH, I wish I was there right now! Oh, and the rest room were quite nice (but that was 6 years ago!).
I am also looking for a smal trailer! But for now, tent camping is just fine for me.
If any of you would like info. about camping in Montana, give a hollar! I would be glad to help.
See you all in Butte! "Our Lady of the Rockies" will be watching over us.

Gracye,,,sounds like LHS would be perfect on a day like today,,,bone chillin' cold even tho the sun is out,for now...suppose to rain later today.
I ment to tell you, there are several gals who "tent" on our gatherings,,,and OMG! after they are all set up,,,you would have thought some one had stolen some of MaryJanes house tents, ironbeds, vintage vases & snuggly down comforters...now these gals give new meaning to "tenting".....they even have 'sitting rooms' in front of their tents all decorated up.

Wow! Diane of Fiddlehead Farm- you have the trailer of my dreams! So good for you. I just found a "ham" trailer on line 400 miles away, but it just may be the one I want. Hooray for making dreams come true. Hope to see you one day tooling along the hiway!
Or even on the Wild West Tour? I would love to see the insides........

Katmom - you are sooo right. The chilly wind is really whipping today. Lava Hot Springs would be a delight. You are also right about tent camping! If I don't find the trailer for me, I will be just as happy in a tent. All things happen to those who wait. Your blogs are really entertaining and it seems a great way to keep in touch with folks. hey, about that Uke you decorated..... Excellent fun. My mom is in a ukelele player in a small group called the "String a Longs." They perform at nursing homes all over Great Falls. Mom has Alzheimers, but you put a uke in her hand and she knows all the songs. Quite a transformation.
I am even thinking that a uke SHOULD be in a trailer for campfire fun. I have a lot of her sheet music and plan on getting started practicing........
Once again, I sure am glad I signed up for the Wild West Road Trip. Lookin' forward!

I named her "Scalliwagon"! Just picked her up today! She even has a solar panel on the top with a battery for when you are really out there!

RECIPE COLLECTION:
We're going to be putting together our own little Women of the Wild West/Farmgirls on the Loose "Recipe Collection".
One of our farmgirl hostesses is making recipe folders for us to put them in, then we can tie up with a ribbon or whatever and have our little collection.
EVERYONE WHO IS PLANNING ON MEETING UP along that way, even if it's just for a hour or two . . PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring your own recipes to add to the collection.-
SIZE: no larger than 4 x 5
- Typed or handwritten, but please be sure your name, address and
forum name are on them
- Bring enough copies for everyone (type or write it once and make
photo copies) We're making about 40 holders.
If you have questions, just email me!
Should be a really nice momento for all of us!
