It's soooo good, right? My husband loved it! Actually, I've made almost everything from that cookbook (except the prune cake) and he hasn't turned one thing down, yet!

Even that prune cake sounds pretty good - although I would have to make up a cover name for it to get my husband to eat it. Anyway, I have had the cookbook for a while but hadn't tried anything yet, it is going to be my go-to cookbook for the month:)

Oh my,,,,I do luv Ree's PW cookbook, food certainly not for the faint of heart or dieter minded,,,but the recipies are certainly food for the heard working soul!
I luv the 'eggs in the hole'...a perfectly fun recipe to make with children.

Did you know that Ree Drummond as well as MaryJane were featured at
Jo Packham's 'Where Women Cook" show last month?
Jo Packham also featured MaryJane in here 'Where Women Create' event & book.

I did know about the "Where Women Cook" issue - Celeste from Chaps and Gena Garcia who makes fabulous cakes at Cake bakery were in it too - I buy cakes from Gena for my department - great to see such wonderful women featured!! I keep hoping I will see that issue at Joann's so I can buy it with my coupon - we are on a strict budget this year and $15 magazines have no place in it:)

Amy Grace--
When I got PW's cookbook last year for Christmas, I featured a weekly recipe each Sunday in January. I even made Marlboro Man's favorite sandwich, which goes against every food law I believe in. And it was GREAT! I also check out her blog frequently for things to make when I'm out of ideas. I bucked the Chicken Spaghetti for a while, because of the pimentos, but I made a few weeks back and it rocked. Even my co-worker asked for the recipe. One of the few things I've brought as a leftover.

I make the egg in the hole's for Violet but always did. I used to eat them with I lived in England--we called them Toad in the Holes :) She really likes them and for her, that's a serious feat!!

I was wondering about that sandwich - my family loves cube steaks and it did sound good. And that chicken spaghetti is on my list for next Monday. I'm trying to use only what I have in the cupboard and only shop once a week so I have to wait till next week as I don't have any pimentos - something about them being in practically every church potluck casserole I ever had when I was a kid:)

Hey ladies, I've made Marlboro Man's fav sandwich several times, it's yummooooo, and Sunday made Ree's recipe for Pot Roast, it was equally as good. Got the cookbook for Christmas, and it sounds like I'll have to stray from my Mom's best mac and cheese recipe and try hers!

live, laugh, love
