11/19/2011: UPDATE: Mail Art for 2011 is CLOSED to further signups.
Changes are being made for 2012. Watch for new information for the new year.

MARCH 28, 2011: UPDATE: This Mail Art forum thread is changed!!!! It is now, ONLY for folks to read for info and for new farmgirls to sign up!!! Please see the CURRENT MONTH thread for participating mail artist postings and pictures!!!
A new year has come and we will be starting fresh and new for 2011 with MAIL ART. If you are not sure what mail art is, I invite you to check out the 2010 forum thread, titled "Mail Art - New for 2010". There you can see pictures of mail art pieces that have been sent/received throughout the year of 2010.
Currently participating mail artists have been sent a "RENEWAL" email from me. If you are active and received that email please respond to that email if you wish to "renew" for 2011.
NEW MAIL ARTISTS: Here is the place to sign up to participate in Mail Art.
THERE ARE TWO STEPS to signing up:
FIRST STEP: Post right here on this thread a simple post that you wish to participate.
SECOND STEP: Send me the following information in an EMAIL to me:
- your mailing address
- your email address
- your "real" name
- your forum name
- your birthdate (please include the year if possible)
- your favorite color, ONE choice only.
NOTE #1: Please do not post this personal information here on the forum. It is a public forum and can be read by anyone and we don't want your personal information compromised. Send to me via EMAIL.
NOTE #2: Both steps are necessary before I can officially sign you up.
MAIL ART works like this: You would make an original piece of your choice (as long as it is positive and in good taste) every month to send to another mail artist.
- You SEND to a different person each month
- You RECEIVE from a different person each month
- The person you SEND to is NOT the same person you receive from.
- MAIL OUT DEADLINE: the 15th of each month.
I make the mail out "round" lists and email you with the name and address of the person you send to each month. You get to ENJOY a lot of different creativity, "meet" many new farmgirl friends and have a TON OF FUN!!!!!
And, if you have ANY questions, please don't hesitate to ask. You can email me with any questions.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: The thread for 2010 will become "archived". All posts and pics for 2011 need to be posted on this new thread.
FIRST MAIL ART "ROUND" FOR 2011: Will be for FEBRUARY!!!
No round for January. You can start making your February project

Yes, you can still go to the 2010 Mail Art thread. It's still in Farmgirl Swap, titled "Mail Art-New for 2010 *Archived". It's just not "sticky" to the top of the Farmgirl Swap topics any more.
When I last looked it was still on the first page.

O oooooooo yes! I did mail-art a couple of years ago and really enjoyed getting the lovely art...I still have them on my inspiration board in my sewing area! I am sending an email out to you! What a special person you are CJ for doing this...thanks!

About the birthdates? It's just another idea for more creative list-making for me.
