I just made this:
http://www.etsy.com/view_item.php?listing_id=258568

Is this even remotely interesting to anyone? I plan to have lots of colors/textures. Husband says the one I made him is better than the foam one he bought. So what do you think? Is this too much of a "for the person who has everything" item?

Any and all feedback is welcome.

Annie

I'm not good at this because I don't use those type of things ( soda that is in can or bottle (plainley don't drink soda a milk , juice and water person)(don't drink alchoholic beverages either so can't tell ya there either) it's cute for what it is. Does it wash well hold it's shape and not bead up. For the sports fan it would probable be better in favorite team colors not pastels. Just a thought

have a lovely day

Washes great because it is acrylic. Holds up great because its... acrylic. LOL! I'm not planning on making any more in pastels, they are my prototypes. The rest will be in fun, bright, bold colors, with a little more pizzaz.

I think it's really cute and I would love to use those with glassware and not just cans, but my litchen colors are red and white and some grey-green and yellow. Plus I don't like the feel of acrylic yarn myself. I prefer wool or cotton.

But those are just my tastes. I think it's a great idea.

I think it is really cute and would make a great gift to new dads!

I love it..I remember my grandma having some glasses when I was little that had little cosys (I think they were crocheted with cotton yarn) that were white and sort of lacy...not very practical but kept the glasses from dripping I guess. The ones you made are adorable...bright and dark colors would be great for guys..and I think they would be fun and cute for summer. I would use one!!

Annie-I like the idea of it in bright colors-team colors.
Another thought was that it might also make a nice baby bottle cozy. I don't have kids, but have seen bottles just slip from kids hands and it might make it easier for them to grip. Or, have they updated the bottles to where kids can hold them now?
Also, since I usually drink hot drinks-coffee, tea, hot cocoa-what about one for mugs. A little cozy sweater with buttons and everything-LOL!
I can see your cozies at parties and gatherings. Thanks for sharing-all the best! :)

Thanks for the feedback, Gals. I finished up another one in Patriotic colors yesterday. Ellen, I HAD thought of making them for coffee cups, too! I can't live without my cuppa' in the morning. :) I wouldn't know about baby bottles, as my kids never took them. We gave them all away (the bottles, not the kids!) after Gavin was born.

OOoops! I'm not sure why this appeared here instead of the intended post, but the post is at least accurate, if not on topic! LOL

Annie, those are really neat. I agree about maybe making them out of cotton, it would be really absorbent. Also, in colors to match decor would be great!
