Sherrye I am laughing myself silly here!!! I didn't see where you had posted this message and when I started reading it and saw "she is huge" I thought what an awful thing to say about someone. Then I realized you weren't talking about a person. Seriously read this message like you think it is a person and you will just fall apart laughing. Kathy |

Here are a couple of remedies that I have used.
Muscle Spasms using Essential Oils; Mix Birch, Peppermint and Basil essential oils together then apply directly on the location of the spasms. I repeat about every five to six hours for the first two days.
Sprained/Pulled Muscles or Blood Clots
1 T Marshmallow root, 1 T Wormwood, 1 T Comfrey root, 1 T Walnut Bark or leaves, 1 T Mullein, 1 T Scullcap, 1 T Gravel Root, 1 T Oak Bark.
Make a tea. Soak sheet bandages in tea and wrap area in bandages. Not too tight. Change 3 - 5 times daily for the first 2 - 3 days.
You can also add enough Slipper Elm Powder to make a paste. Pur some \paste into a piece of flannet and then apply to area. Again, change 3 - 5 times a day.
Hope this help and good luck on getting your goat to feel better.

Sorry to hear about Betty Boop. We have a new to parenting doe that has the worst feet ever and we are continually trying to get her back to normal. She is a mess and I wonder if any of these kinds of remedies might help her feet. I am seriously considering taking her to auction after her boys are weened. I was SO HAPPY she had boys...we don't want no stinking feet problems around here. they are just so difficult to correct sometimes.
Best of luck w/ Ms. Boop.

well betty is getting better. i do think she is prego now. even my friends who help me think so. she is dilated some. i trimmed her feet. she is walking better. putting weight on her hock now. i think it was sprained she stays in her shed in the stall these days. using a lot of low pitched bleets. seems content to nest. well she is loafing or nesting we shall see as time goes by. is there a baby in there??? lol thanks grace for the help. i shall keep it in my records for later uses. happy days sherrye

wow rejena, thanks for asking. she still favors it. i think she is much better. i was worried for awhile. she is so big and pregnant the weight is probably slowing the healing. i can see her bag now. so hoping soon we will have some kids. she is wanting to go in the stalls at night now. thanks for asking about her. happy days sherrye
