Merry Christmas Sheila, I've been quilting for almost 45 years and have never heard of this Tea Box quilt pattern. So I would also be interested in seeing the pattern. In the mean time, I'll try to hunt it down. Warm snowy hugs, Carmen
Shelia, I typed "tea box quilt pattern" into my yahoo search engine and found a six sided star with the hexagon shapes around it, made of wood. It wasn't an actual quilt more like a trivet. But it could certainly be a pattern for a quilt. They show a couple different ones in color. Carmen
Shelia, here is a new link I found www.garnethill.com/tea-box-quilt This one shows a quilt which looks like just different size rectangles. An actual link for the other one is not aaparent. So on your home page use what search engine is available and type in the words tea box quilt pattern, there should be a list that pops up, scroll down to tea box quilt-image results. Click on that link and that is where I found the star pattern listed as Tea Box quilt pattern. Carmen
I bought a box of quilt pieces a few months ago with a photocopy of a pattern. The pattern was Tea Box. When I started to put the remaining pieces together yesterday I want to see where the pattern came from and googled it and found this site. Upon further investigation I found the pattern came from a QNM issue from Nov/Dec 1986 edition no 187. Hope this helps every one. There is a Texas Tea Box someone posted but it is different. It has a patch in the center of the 6 star patch. When I finish the top I will try to post a picture.
