The boys went back to school today and it has been so nice to have a hot cup of coffee in a peaceful house and to spend some extra time reading my Bible...today's reading is Judges 3:28 to 15:12 and tomorrow's is Judges 15:13 to 1Samuel 2:29.

Star - that sounds so wonderful. I had the whole week of Christmas off work and then Thursday and Friday of last week. But, now it's back to the work world :(

But, I did get a Kindle for Christmas and I am loving reading The Bible on it. That's what I plan to do at lunch today. I hope you all have a blessed day!

Wow, what a great goal! I am reading through the entire bible too, using the "Discipleship Journal Bible Reading Plan". God's Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

My mom received the Bible in 90 days for Christmas, and I think we'll be starting it as a family soon.

Hope everyone's weekend was restful - celebrated the Baptism of Our Lord in Mass yesterday and now back to ordinary time which always seems long to me until Easter which is late this year! Monday's reading is 2Samuel 22:19 to 1 Kings 7:37 and tomorrow's will be 1 Kings 7:38 to 16:20.

I'm still with you girls! I finished 2 Samuel over the weekend, now I'll get started on 1 Kings. This is quite an adventure staying so deep in the Word every day. I needed someone to get me disciplined beyond my short readings during my quiet time. Thank you Star!!

Breanna - God's Word IS a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I couldn't agree more!

Blessings to all y'all.

Good morning! The boys are going back to school today so I will have some quiet time to read on my lunch break today...hooray! I love having them home but it was too cold to send them out to play in the snow and the music from the wii was starting to wear a bit. The readings we are doing now are so new to me and even though I have been in Church all my life, I don't recall many of these stories. Is anyone else having that experience? It is making me a bit embarrassed to say that I have been a Christian for 50 years and never heard some of this. Today's reading is 2 Kings 4:38 to 2 Kings 15:26. Tomorrow's will be 2 Kings 15:27 to 25:30.

This is a great thing. As much bible study as I have done over the years, I have never read the bible through from front to back. Love reading about your doing it!

birthday party sleepover for 7 boys tonight - glad I've got the peace of being in the Word so much to get through it! LOL

Friday: 2 Chronicles 35:16 to Ezra 10:44
Saturday: Nehemiah 1:1 to 13:14
Sunday: Nehemiah 13:15 to Job 7:21

One of my sons will be serving as Crossbearer for the first time on Saturday afternoon. A couple of prayers would be appreciated.

I am happy to say that my son's first time to serve as crossbearer went very well - he walked so slowly and reverently that someone told me she thought our Priest would fall asleep - LOL.

We are really making progress in our readings! Monday is Job 8:1 to 24:25 and Tuesday is Job 25:1 to 41:34.

Today's reading is Psalms 45:15 to 69:21. The weekend reading is Saturday Psalms 69:22 to 89: 13; Sunday Psalms 89:14 to 108:13; Monday will be Psalms 109:1 to 134:3 - I may not be online at all until Tuesday since the guardianship court case for my niece is Monday. If you have a moment, please pray that the judge will decide to keep Autumn in the safest possible place. Thank you.
