Since most of the house is in a big mess I went down to the nice neat finished room in the basement and took a picture for my site.

Nancy, I have a plate with the same little boy as Little Jack Horner. It was always my dinner plate at my grandparents' house, and now it lives with me in my curio cabinet. I have no idea where Grandma got it or how old it is. Are these Campbell Kids?

They do look like the campbell kids. There are no markings on the bowl. How nice that you have one.

I love the old kid's plate and cup. It is always fun to see what you have going on your site, I hadn't though about you having a basement, I always think fondly of the pictures of your attic, where everything is carefully lined up and shelved by category, it's like going to an exclusive on line store. My house is in an uproar too, but I did manage to get the mantelpiece covered with my thrift store nutcrackers. Some are missing a few bits, but ZI have so much stuff crammed up there one would never know....

Super nice, Nancy Jo. I love old children's toys, etc. The plate looks for sure(so does the cup, if it's old enough) to be the artwork of Grace G. Drayton, who was the original illustrator of the Campbell Kids. She lived 1877 - 1936.
