That is so pretty. I remember having a set similar on my parents mantel. It would be so fun to see it again . . . I don't know what happened to it. Lost over the years following my parents' death. Maybe my sister has it ...
Thanks for sharing yours. It brought to mind happy memories. Marianne

Nancy, It's lovely. I like the "vintage" feel to it. Thanks for sharing.

Enjoy those sort of things while you have them. You never know when they might disappear. Our house was broken into 2 years ago. One of the things I miss the most is the handmade christmas decorations and the hope chest made by my grandfather. I couldn't believe they took the boxes marked 'christmas decos'! I had a set of brass bells that made the most beautiful sound and they were strung on heavey cotton string with bright red beads. I would wear them while we were decorating and at every holiday party. I miss that sound.

Angela, that is so sad. Why would someone steal something like that? Usually you hear of the electronics and jewelry being the favorite things to grab. What a loss. Marianne
That is so pretty. My mother had that in our house and I don't remember what happen to it. We moved to New York for a year when I was about 10 years old and when we returned to California I never saw it on the mantel again. I love homemade decorations.
Nancy, hat is so cute and festive! My Mom has these short wooden figures that we put out every year, and she's also saved all of the ornaments I've made her over the years. Christmas decorations are the best! God's Blessings, Megan aka Loretta Rae

NAncy Jo - Merry Christmas to you and your family. I see your beautiful tree on your blog also, and that you are taking a little time away for the holidays. I hope they are very special for all of you in your family!
