is a HUGE win at our house!
Doug is really picky and always scoffing at my organic notions. But MaryJane is winning him over. He loves the Bare Burrito, the Jambalaya, and the Chili Mac is his favorite. He likes the results of my baking with the budget mix (awesome pancakes!)
But today for our lunch time chili I mixed up a double batch of the Chili Batter Bread biscuits and they are amazing! They have the sweetness of cornbread biscuits with the amazing flavor pop of sun dried tomatoes and a hint of heat with dried jalepenos.
Now I haven't _ever_ enjoyed Jalepenos in my corn bread. It always ruined it for me. But these were so good! I am also a bit of a wimp when it comes to "hot" flavors. But these aren't too hot for me. Just a slight feeling of heat but nothing that left me reaching for something to drink. And the flavors are complex and intricate. I really like them!
Doug also really liked them! He was very impressed. I am going to always keep these on hand for when we want a spicy biscuit. They are perfect!
