Well, I typed it all up and copied it to Farm Kitchen and forgot to post here!

Where do you get the ingredients for the bug repellant bars in the Outpost book? I want to make some for my friends for Christmas and the prices at the local craft store seemed high to me. $18/pound for beeswax (I only need 3 ounces). $2/ounce for cocoa butter (I need a cup and a half!). And they didn't have sweet almond oil and the other essential oils were $9 for a several-ounce bottle and I only need a few drops. Arrgghh.

Any suggestions?

Have a happy Thanksgiving!

Those prices do seem too high. You can probably find everything you need at a natural foods store. wish I lived in Oregon, I could direct you to a good store.

I made them! The local health food store had beeswax for $1.15 per 1 ounce bar. I posted how it went on Farm Kitchen.
