I have 3 pumpkins on my steps that I do not want to rot and I want to utilize but haven't a clue! Can I just cube and freeze? How do you make pumpkin seeds? I want to use it up and not waste it...what is pumpkin butter? I's like to make a nice variety of things from it to last until next season and maybe for some gifts. I know 3 are not a lot but I live alone so it's probably fine for me. I have one little one, a medium and a large one that I grew and some green ones.
Any help or just names of recipes of things I could make...I could probably google the recipes. thanks you so much!

Do you have Jack o lantern pumpkins or pie pumpkins I find jacks are to stringy for much. But I take my sugar pumpkins and cut in half and clean out the seeds (never had much luck with seeds) wash and put on a jelly roll sheet or some thing with and edge because I put a bit of water on the pan to steam the pumpkins. put in the oven 350 till soft when I can handle them I peel and put them in a freezer ziploc bag. freeze and use when I need it.

If you put your cooked pumpkin through a seive or food processor, it is a lot smoother and can be used for pies or butter.
