Welcome to the RAOK signup page! For our new farmgirls who may not know what RAOK is- RAOK stands for Random Acts of Kindness. This is not a traditional swap. There is no requirement for how often you must send something. Only send what you are comfortable with.
You do not have a swap partner. You send to whomever you choose. And you may send whatever you like. It may be a card or a package. The choice is yours.
Now to participate in the RAOK, you need to be an active paticipant on the boards at MJF and the RAOK. Unfortunately we had some sign up and then just disappear. And of course please post when you receive a RAOK be it card or gift. You can find that thread here: http://www.maryjanesfarm.com/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=40433 This is a simple way to let the sender know that their package/card was received.
Signups end November 22nd. The new list will be emailed out November 23rd! Please make sure you get your info/changes to me by that date. Thank you!!!! This list will be good till May 2011.
This will be a brand new list. There will be some new farm girls, some old ones taken off, some that change their info. So let us be sure to use the new list.  And for all you farm girls all ready on the RAOK-- there is no need to sign up again. I still have your info. You may want to look over it and see if there are any changes you would like to make. If there are, just drop me an email with your changes.
If you would like to sign up, I will need you to email with this list of info and I will be so delighted to add you to the fun!

I'd like to offer my support to Melanie for doing this. I know that it takes lots of time, effort and coordination . . . THANK YOU Melanie!!
And, to offer encouragement to RAOK-ers . . . I give RAOK gifts because I WANT TO, enjoy it and have fun with it. If I have the privilege and honor of receiving a RAOK gift then I'm just that . . honored and privileged. I know sometimes we feel like we must give back when we receive and I'd just like to say that it's not about RECEIVING . . it's about sharing, giving and having the satisfaction of brightening someone's day. I hear so many comments that these RAOK gifts come at "just the right time" . . . I know the ones I've received have!! I also like to know that what I give is at "just the right time" and is just the right gift!! That makes me smile and warms my heart!!!
It IS important that we ARE participating in Farmgirl Connection, that we are involved . . . it IS important that we post that we received a RAOK gift and thank the sender. That's part of the Farmgirl spirit and what brings us together in friendship and allows us to be better at encouraging, sharing, giving . . . and being friends. So, I thank ALL OF YOU who have given me the opportunity and privilege of sharing with you in giving and receiving. THANK YOU!!!

I have been on the giving and receiving end of RAK swaps like these and find that being able to send the 'perfect' thing to someone else is such a thrill! I am very lucky to be a girl with 'stuff' to share and am so looking forward to be able to do that on MJF! xoxo
