I have a sick girl home today.

So far I've run the dishwasher-need to unload now.
Swap out clothes in the washer/dryer. Fold & putaway.
Vacuum living room. Sweep dining room/kitchen.
Find a new/good recipe for soup for dinner.

Things I hope to get to:
organize pantry
clean out my youngest dd's dressers to make room for hand me downs.
Relax with my Bible on the couch.

Let's see...

I'm currently at work until 5:00
Commute home a half hour
pick up the baby from my mothers across town
start dinner
put in a couple of loads of laundry
feed dogs/cats
try to get down (and put away) all Halloween decorations
bath time for wee one
remember to talk to husband
get baby to bed BEFORE 11:30 tonight (crazy little nigh owl)
and hopefully sit down and flip a few pages of a magazine before midnight.

I worked for a few hours this morning cleaning a client's home.
Stopped at our local fabric store when I got back into town.
Waiting on lunch to cook.
The I'll have to go get kids from school and make them dinner.
Then I'm off to a beginner quilting class. I'm so nervous. That's silly. Isn't it?

Let's see. Labeled the pumpkin butter. Made toast to try the pumpkin butter. Showered. Ran a call for a car wreck. Put two glucometers in service while at the fire station. Typed out 6 pages of notes to send to the fire chief from a leadership class. Picked up all the buckets which blew around the porch because of the wind.....
Left to do today...... Go to the post office. Drop off pumpkin butter to a friend. Unload the diswasher. Finish the schedule for tonight's and saturday's training. Label the tops of my essential oils so I can find things easier in the box. Load the dishwasher. Vacuum and sweep. Clean off one book shelf. Make something for dinner to go with the crescent rolls I am planning to make as soon as I finish this post. Teach at drill tonight.

Do what you love, love what you do.

Lets see...I started dusting so when it comes time for the Yule decor to come out,I can do minor touch up instead of major dust removal. I'm also starting to organize by biz stuff for tax time in Jan. Looking at what else I can put up for bid in my cleaning out the un-necessaries in my life, and I gave myself a manicure today-first time in over a year. Don't know why I just wanted to start looking more pretty lately. Wearing light pink polish. Things to do are play fiddle & mandolin. Falling behind on carols! Also knit a neck warmer as a gift & just started another for myself.

I used to make a to-do list every day. It got to the point that at the end of the day I would so fixate on all the things I didn't get done, that I would fail to pat myself on the back for all the things I did get done. That list never allowed any room for error or life just gettting in the way. Now I take it as it comes and delight in the fact I know how to do all the things on my "list" and do them well...lol

Well this was interesting. I love the insight into each of your lives! We're different, but so similar.

It's the evening, but I can list what I did:

Up at 4 a.m. Sat with hubby for about 20 minutes.
Made hubby breakfast and lunch.
Cleaned kitchen.
Made bread.
Did a load of clothes.
Excerised.
Made my lunch.
Picked up as much as possible.
Drove 30 to daughters house to watch 2yo grandson from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Played with grandson and picked her house up.
Came home and finished laundry, put it away.
Warmed up soup and dumplings from last night.
Ahhh, and now checking in here!

Laundry.

Work on dreadful paperwork.

Groceries.

Try not to mind first & second. (Should be glad I have a hope of cleaning up the mess, and can afford to buy--some-- groceries.

Change sheets. Do more laundry.

Start to put Christmas Stocking Swap package together. (Yay!)

Plan & cook dinner.

Take son to guitar lesson, (Yay! they are a gift to him and to me from a 'sister' and her partner.)and visit with my beloved friend during the lesson.

Prep to go out of town to son's soccer tournament tomorrow. Two hour drive, sit in the probable rain all day... but what a joy to see him, and his other Special Olympic teammates play so well at a sport I can just barely figure out!
