i have to say that she is never dull. belle had been moving her bowl and licking the strandboard. so i had papa put a sheet of metal for a liner. yipee.. so belle comes on in to the stanchion. i latch it. i struggled to get the can on her belly. should have seen the writing on the wall then. so get the surge going. everything is humming. i go to fill her water. i hear clang bang and a cow on the move. i run to see just as she is exiting the barn. she is still hooked up to the machine. it is chugging along. she keeps running, may i say we have not trimmed the air hose yet. so she is out of the barn with a milk can and strap hanging on her belly. the whole time she is kicking and doing a dance. she is so confused about this can hanging on her. then the hose is too short. so belle is off and running with the milk can a hanging and swinging back and forth. the milk is splashing i am laughing so hard yelling wait belle stop. oh my gosh. she stopped and i went and unhooked the strap. she was not empty but i said enough and let her go out. funny girl. i then went and got the eggs. so i am going to give the pigs the dirty milk. i get off the golfcart. the eggs end up upside down in the dirt. ok then now the pigs get milk and eggs. when i go to pour the milk i lost my hold and poured it down my leg. allrighty then. so still laughing i come in and tell papa. the stanchion must be broke and what happened. he says oh ma i left the right side of the stanchion open when i fixed the metal. well there ya go. it truly was a cartoon for sure. when the can was swinging sideways and milk pouring out and her leg in the air it was oh so funny. happy days on the farm those who know papas ways he never shuts a gate a door a cupboard or a medicine cabinet and now the stanchion lol gotta love him to bits though

Sherry, what a story! I am still laughing. I'm glad you can laugh too. There sure is alot of entertainment on a farm, huh? Never ever dull for sure. I wish I could have seen that.
