The Lyme Disease Movie "Under Our Skin" is scheduled to be on PBS
Dear UNDER OUR SKIN Supporter,

Just a quick update to let you know that starting next month the multi award-winning UNDER OUR SKIN will be airing on many PBS stations across the country, and every day more and more stations are programming the film.

We're asking you to check to see if the film is scheduled to show in your area. If your local PBS station has not scheduled the film, please contact them and ask them to show it. Many of the stations that are broadscasting UNDER OUR SKIN agreed to schedule it after receiving a handful of calls from viewers in the community. And if you are willing to help spread the word in your area about an upcoming broadcast, please be sure to mention that to your PBS affiliate so they will know there is local support for the film.

For local PBS station contact information, go to www.pbs.org/stationfinder

Questions? Please reach us at info@openeyepictures.com

Thank you. With your help, we look forward to a successful kickoff of the TV broadcast of UNDER OUR SKIN during Lyme Disease Awareness Month.

Sincerely,

The UNDER OUR SKIN Team

Wow, I can't tell you all how much I can relate to all of the above. I have had the good fortune to work for a physician, as his nurse, who has dedicated his life and practice to treating Lyme patient's. He has been ridiculed by his peers, told his methods of treatment were unconventional, and was run out of town for diagnosing and treating patient's with Lyme disease. I have seen many of his patient's misdiagnosed with other "ailments", including being told by other physicians they were hypochondriacs. He followed the protocol set forth by one of the leading Lyme physicians, which included multiple rounds of oral and IV antibiotics. Many of his patient's had chronic Lyme, however some were diagnosed in time, and with treatment have done well. He sent his blood work to Stoney Brook Lab in New York, where they broke down the bands, in which he was able to determine then how advanced the disease was. He continues to treat patient's with Lyme, however is nolonger in our area, he was forced to move to a different part of the state in order to continue with his practice. Very sad... My hats off to all who are sufferring from this debilitating disease. You are all in my prayers. As are the few physician's who accurately diagnose and treat Lyme.

Sharon,
That is exactly the topic in the documentary "Under Our Skin". It is about the Insurance Companies and the AMA taking away doctor's licenses that treat Chronic Lyme patients. One doctor on the East Coast that treated over 6000 children had to move his practice after he went bankrupt from fighting in court. You should see this documentary www.underourskin.com
My DD, Shannon is doing great since she went to the specialist and had a 28 day IV.

I can only treat my Lyme with natural methods and continue to look for new therapies. I came across a study done by a LLMD and am now using his method. I didn't save the search but if any of you with Lyme want to know about it just leave a post here and I'll try to find it again.

Marjean, I would be very interested in your Natural Lyme protocol and all new therapies.

Ceftinir and Sporanox for fungus and mold have torn up on digestive system.

I need to find a natural way. I have never done well on mainstream drugs.

Marjean, ILADS is having a conference in Boston Sat, Dec 1st. It is on the web and has a free stream so we can watch it. I have copy/pasted my email below.

2012 INTERNATIONAL ILADS CONFERENCE FREE STREAMING

World's Leading Lyme Disease Researchers and Clinicians
The Thirteenth Annual ILADS Lyme Disease Conference in Boston, Mas
While our main objectives are training of physicians worldwide and Lyme disease research, we are dedicated to bringing this information to those most affected: people suffering with Lyme disease and their family and friends.
We believe information is the most effective weapon against Lyme disease and that patients need to learn all they can about this disease. To meet this objective, we are offering free streaming of select presentations from the 2012 Boston ILADS Lyme disease conference to our international audience on 3 different weekends during the month of December 2012. View Streaming Schedules.
The mission of the ILADS' conferences is to bring together respected international researchers and clinicians to share cutting-edge research and diagnostic and treatment modalities for Lyme disease.

Diane,

How is your daughter doing with your Lyme disease treatment?

I was watching a show for cancer patients and I thought there should be the same kind of awareness for Lyme sufferers and their families. We go through 'hell' and some die from Lyme also.

When you finish your chemo you ring a bell at the clinic. I want to do the same for those who beat Lyme!!! Some of us have been suffering for years and have to live with it for life.

When I beat Lyme everyone is going to hear my story!!!!

I have been fighting to live for 9 years. It is a daily battle, non-stop. No remissions, just a constant reminder that something is living inside your body that has taken your life away.
