Finally!!!! It's finally a snap to load chatroom photos. It's no longer necessary to use services like photobucket. Here's how. When you're typing in your text, look up to the line of square icons and click on the one on the far right. (It's a tiny little photo with an upload arrow.) Easy peasy pie.
We're also working on a better search function but that will take us another week or so. It involves buying another monster server, setting it up, testing it, etc.
Happy Photo Sharing!!!!!!!!
The first 5 farmgirls who share a photo on this thread using our new function will get a one-year subscription to our magazine for FREE!!! The 20th farmgirl will get a FREE Stitching Room book and the 100th picture will get a FREE Ideabook with a box of Budget Mix thrown-in.

Oh, so fun to see everyone's pics! Annika, your computer should open a new little box that asks for you to choose a photo and make sure it's 400 x 400. Once you've chosen it, click on the upload button. Hope that helps!

Ok, I'd like to try this but I didn't get a little photo with an arrow on the far right. There's no line of icons above my typing but the one's we usually see in a bunch [New Topic, Reply to topic, etc]. Carla

Once you click on the reply to topic, you'll see the icon on the righthand corner, just above the font, size, and color on the line that says Format:
Annika, love Halloweeny kitty! Do you have your pop up blocker turned off on your firefox?

Click on "Reply to Topic" and then once your reply box opens, click on the very last button on the right. (Buttons start with Bold and end with the new Picture button)
Also, I couldn't load my picture until I changed the name. The name of my photo was either too long or it didn't work because I had spaces between the words. (Was Toby & Charlie Brown but became TobyCharlieBrown) It's also possible that the "&" was a problem. Oh, maybe this is a Firefox issue as I used Firefox to load my pic. Perhaps Internet Explorer would be easier.
Again, thank you!

It didn't work for me in Firefox, but it works in Internet Explorer ... weird!
Hi Meg!, yeah pop up blocker is off...Not a big deal to me, don't worry about it =) I'll just use IE for picture uploads!

Peggy, just a left click. Then there should be a little pop-up box in the left upper corner of your screen where you can upload. BUT you have to be in the REPLY TO TOPIC screen to see the box. Try again, it took me a few tries also :) WAY easier, really

You have to re-size your photos to be 400 X 400 or less. I will have to try this when I have more time! All my photos are too BIG!

Hi girls! Love all the pics! Mine were too big, too, so before downloading, I went in to my photo edit program, copied the original (to keep my original as is). Next I highlighted the new photo, clicked on edit and then resize - then it automatically helped me choose the right settings when I entered the first pixel setting. Again - easy peasy! Good luck! - Nini

We are aware that some (although not all) folks are having problems using the new Photo Upload tool in Fire Fox. A quick explanation of how to use this tool:
1. Find & click on the Photo Upload icon. It's the right-most icon in the Editor window:
2. Once you click on that Photo Upload icon, you should see the Photo Upload PopUp window:
3. Use this PopUp window to find and upload the desired image. [NOTE: At present, we are only allowing .JPG image format. Also, the image must be no larger than 400 pixels wide and no more than 400 pixels in height.]
4. Click the Upload button. That will upload your image and insert the necessary code into your message.
NOTE: You must have your browser configured to allow PopUp windows from the MaryJanesFarm.org domain for this feature to work.
NOTE: You must have javascript enabled on your browser for this feature to work.
We're aware that some folks are having problems using Mozilla's Fire Fox browser. We are working to determine the cause and the solution for this issue. We'll let you all know when this is resolved. Thanks for your patience.

Sherrye - under your post are buttons and words (okay under my post now) New Topic Reply to topic Send topic to friend Printer friendly
Okay...click on Relpy to topic. Then a NEW box will show up...not the quick reply we are most use to. The box starts out with Screen Size Format Mode Format - here go to the far right and click on Upload picture
That should do it - easy peasy :-)
