Forgot to ask for prayers for my husband's sister Patricia. While were in town Friday, trying to get the keys out of the locked Explorer, we found out his sister was in the hospital.

Once we were back in the Explorer we drove over to visit. She's got pneumonia again. This sister has mental retardation (lack of oxygen at birth), and is the same one that doctors said would die from it before. Not sure how she got it either, but she's also got congestive heart failure. When I was there, her cough sounded terrible, but we were told she was getting better.

Thanks...

It's been awhile since I have commented, but thought I would give an update. My granddaughter just got back from 10 days in Cairo and surrounding. She is 18, earned her money for the trip and went with her best friend and her family who is Corinna's pastor. She had a marvelous time and saw many things. We prayed the whole time she was gone, as she is naive to the wiles and thoughts of those in another land. She thinks everyone is so friendly without ulterior motives. Thankfully she returned home safely about the time we found out tnat terrorism exists in this land as well as Iran, Syria, or Egypt. I realized AGAIN that God holds us in the palm of His hand, His time for us to go home also is His pleasure, and we are in His protective power. We just never know when we will leave this life into the next, whether it is in a movie theatre, outside a mall, in a school or in a foreign land. I am thankful that Nini's family is OK as is mine. May we continue to hold each other up as we may enter some adversity tomorrow or the future.

CJ, Know that God is with you and will give you strength as you work through this time. I am keeping you in my prayers.

Girls, I need to offer up a prayer of thanksgiving....My husband found a new job and will start tomorrow. The great thing is he will be back at the salary he was 6 years ago. (He has been working for alot less the last couple of years) Hopefully this will put us back on the road to recovery. It has been hard being the only income for most of the year.

Good afternoon wonderful ladies,
My hands hurt, so this is short.
Chaos is once again visiting our home, and I can't seem to remember anything right either. Especially today.
I don't have an update on Patricia, but heard she is better, since my last post.
Blessings and prayers...

Update on my hubby's sister Patricia - she's out of the hospital and doing much better. Thank you for your prayers.

This morning I woke up sick. I feel like I did last year when I starting getting sick and had 3 rounds of antibiotics etc. Not good. I have lots of gardening to do (putting up) and have been asked to milk goats again this coming weekend - only it will be 2 goats and not one like before. It's also Farmer's Market weekend, and I will be short of a helper. The second goat is a beginner, so she's not a trained milker. I'm suffering from sore hands on top of all this. If you could squeeze in a prayer for my health I'd appreciate it. I do plan on taking a nap (yep!) to ward off wear and tear on my body, but I don't like the way I feel (cough too). Either that, or trying to go to bed early.

I've already put more grated potatoes in my dehydrator, but have a table full of potatoes to take care of yet. I have relish that needs canned and so forth. I just can't let it go to waste, and my oldest helper is working 4am-12noon today.

Thanks ladies,
Now I better get the flower beds watered and garden harvested...and laundry out and get the kids out of bed.

Hi girls - I've missed you!

Still lots happening here. Had a crisis to contend with that made it impossible to get on and post, but things are getting better. Thank you for your prayers. I have been thinking of all of you and keeping you in my prayers, too. Kristina - I'm praying for your health and the situations you have been facing. For you, too, CJ. Things sure seem easier to take when we've got our sisters lifting us up in prayer, don't they? Love you, sisters... Simply love all of you!

Have been reading the books, "Crazy Love" and "Radical" over the past few weeks. My sister-in-law and I had been talking and she said I just had to read them because she swore I could've written them myself! LOL! Next book on the list is "Don't Waste Your Life..." Praying that I can finish all three before the end of the summer!

Seeing the cardiologist soon and will be heading to the eye doctor a week from Monday for a complete work-up and probably to begin another round of injections. Long story short, my regular eye doctor explained all the reasons why I should have them done in explicit detail, and more than strongly urged me to get back in and start another course as soon as possible. I'm not happy about it, but his reasoning seems sound, and I know he cares and would never steer me wrong. Please say a little prayer, okay? Thank you!!! For all intents and purposes, I can't see out of my left eye except for a very small portion (which is mostly distorted), and my doc said that these injections are my best chance to protect myself should something ever happen in my right eye. He said if I were to have this happen in my right eye, I'd be legally blind. I can't have that! So scarey! So, I'll do what I have to. I'll try not to whine too much, I promise! LOL!

Hugs -

Nini

Nini and all...it seems that I have many friends, including some of you who are going through some very hard times. As I look at those around me, I have the sense that G-d is allowing some of these times to toughen us up and teach us to depend on HIM more. It is the testing of our faith. It will be those who are willing to stand in the gap and uphold those in need that will help bring them through. Many blessings on you all.

Nini - I continue to pray
CJ - prayers for your upcoming changes
Megan - congrats on passing your road test

I hope all is well with everyone.

I am soaking my hands in hot water and epson salts to relieve the pain. I survived this past weekend of milking goats and the Farmer's Market both. I'm struggling to get things done around here, but getting them done nonetheless.

Some things are happening at my house with some changes going on in a week.

Kristina and Nini, I'll continue to pray for your health.
Kristina, I'll also pray for whatever changes are going on in your life right now.
Girls, could I ask for prayers tomorrow morning? I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed in the late morning, hopefully it'll go off without a hitch! Thanks!
