Absolutely, Kristina...for me The Bible is the definitive Word on our actions....but that brings the point...we need to KNOW the Word of God. God does look how we approach different circumstances...not because He doesn't know...but so he can turn a flashlight on and we see how we act and why we do things. He is bound and determined to bring us to Himself with us knowing what truly is in our heart. That is a prayer of mine..that God shines His Light in the dark corners of my being, so I can repent and change if needed. Have a good day ladies!

A thought for today, that we may open our minds and our hearts to others: "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me." -Matthew 25:35 Blessings,

I've had a few days where I have listened to news stations and political pundants saying such negative things about others. Some are just half truths and maybe not even true at all. Nonetheless, there is such an air of negativity, it can affect ones attitude toward others and your life. I am trying to think of other ways to introduce & say a positive words to others each day that is truly heart-felt. Maybe a phone call, a little card, noticing they are doing something well or above the dall of duty. We all need that "at a boy" and we may not hear it. Other ideas how we can incorporate positivity into our lives and those of another? "And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." - Philippians 4:8

Claudia...I couldn't agree more dear sister! I have always been the "glass is half full" sorta of person rather than the "glass is half empty". I like your idea about making sure that you speak kindness and truth to a person in a positive way. There is nothing that comes off more phoney than flattery. But we can all find atleast one true and encouraging thing to say to others everyday. It is best to start at home too.

I have had to put news, primarily the 24 hr news stations, on a back burner for a long time now. Each one serves their own agenda with half truths.
I am learning the Only Truth is God's truth. Trying to focus on more positive messages and thoughts!
Blessings, Linda

Hello Ladies I have not posted here lately because I have been busy in the back ground with my family. I don't know if you remember me posting about the problem with the lease house we are in or that we had found one close by to our property to lease... We have been busy packing and we move two houses down next weekend. I go today to finalize building permits so we can pour the slab for our house and then things will get REAL BUSY around here. My husband and I, while nervous about the stress of everything, still have a calm because we know that God is working everything out just right for us.
Thank you guys for praying for us and please continue too.
Andrew is the one child who has transition problems and this past weekend he was really acting out. But once he is settled in the new lease house and he can see progress being made on the new house I really believe he will calm down.

Thank you Peggy! I have been off line for about 3 days, as something happened to my visual driver???!!^! DH was swamped at work and we had some car troubles, so I decided to wait until other things were under control. I have appreciated reading the posts, and one hit me this morning that is a verse before the well known Proverb 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all thy heart...." It is Proverbs 3:3 "Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart." It continues to say that we win a good name & favor in God's and mans' sight. As with most of Proverbs, it is among the "to do" list. It is a "if and then." I wonder what we write on the tablet of our hearts. Time to meditate on this.

Thoughts for today... "Agree with God, and be at peace; in this way good will come to you" ~Job 22:21
Isnt it just amazing how these simple verses speak to you when you read them? Blessings to all!

Claudia I was reading back over the post I have missed and I saw yours and it made me think about the devotions my husband and I our doing every night with our four kids. We are going through the Family Year Long Devotion with Josh McDowell. This is our second year and our second book. He is going over the same thing. Being bold for Christ. He puts like this for kids...Being a "Rescue Ranger" for Christ. My kids really GET it and they are really enjoying the devotion. Chris and like because Josh hits on the questions that kids and adults all have in the back of their minds. What if I get laughed at? What if I get ridiculed? what if no one wants to be friends with me every again? and then he turns it around and says hey, but what IF...you make a new friend for eternity? What if you get invited to their re-birthday? What if they get to thank you for sharing Christ with them?
All great questions for my kids and Chris and I as parents out in the adult world.

Good evening to you all. I have been reading your posts, but being quiet for awhile. I don't know how you feel about football or about Denver's Tim Tebow, but this is what Rick Warren tweeted to Facebook.... "Christ is more embarrassed by Christians who are embarrassed by Tim Tebow, than by anything Tebow will ever do"
It made me think how many times I may turn down the Christian music in my car when I am at a stop light... not that it is blaring, but might be noticable with the window cracked. How many times, when saying grace at a restaurant, do I not fold my hands or bow my head. Am I afraid to speak my thoughts about a subject that has diversity of opinion and has angered some. I may just keep my mouth shut unless there are others that could support my belief. I know I may not be giving good examples, but I think you may get the idea. What Rick Warren said and what Tim Tebow does, has given me some things to chew on.

Thanks Suzanne. I am going to google Josh McDowell's books. Many years ago, he was on fire for Christ and stood out for kids to get with the program. I must admit I haven't thought about him for a long time. He seemed to be a straight arrow and one who pierced one's heart with standing up for Christ. Thank you for the info and your contribution. It seems that many of us are passing through the waters and want to come out OK on the other side. Bless you and your day!
